I will be leaving for Europe today and will not be able to take orders until I return. I will probably be back within two months. Safak and I are going to be flying into Germany and do some traveling after that. We're excited and ready for some adventure! See you when we get back.

Great times at UNLV's Festival of Communities
On Sunday I was a vendor at UNLV's Festival of Communities - a festival celebrating the diversity of UNLV and Las Vegas. I sold all of my product line there including coffee and tea. I had a great time and would like to thank those involved for helping me make this possible. It was a great day and I had so much fun. I'll tell you that this kind of work is not easy, but surely a nice way to spend your Sunday.

Heavenly Baklava
This one is my all time favorites. When I was a kid, I remember on special occasions like parties or Thanksgiving my father would be preparing his signature baklava. I would always sneak into the kitchen to eat the pieces which weren't pretty enough to go on the tray. If you've had other baklava and say that you don't like baklava, I beg you to give these a chance. I get turned off my the baklava that's soaked in syrup, soggy and overpowered with rosewater or spices. This baklava is crispy, light, sweet but not overpowering sweet, and a feast for the eye and mouth. Most baklava contains all walnuts; our recipe has a mixture of hazelnuts and walnuts. The hazelnuts add a superb nutty and rich flavor. Each piece is $0.75. Give these to your friends, and they'll be begging you to know where you got them!
Egyptian Basbousa
For those of you who don't know basbousa, these are sweet cakes made of farina, and sometimes semolina. They are popular in eastern Mediterranean countries like Egypt, Greece and Turkey. It may go by a variety of names like hareesa or revani, but in Egypt they call it basbousa. If you're not the biggest fan of baklava, you should try these. They have a smooth consistency while having a slight crunch from the crust and almond. Each piece is $0.75, with a minimum order of $10, and they make very elegant gifts. The bottom picture is a sample of what we can do for catering for parties or events, it's a tray of mini basbousa treats. Ingredients are semolina, sour cream, farina, sugar, butter, almonds and vanilla.

Baby Green Tea Cheesecake Bites
WOW!!! That's what you'll say when you try these bite size treats. This is our Asian take on an Itallian classic. Our Baby Green Tea Cheesecake bites have that creamy cheesecake flavor you know and love with a hint of green tea. We call them baby not because we're telling you to give them to your baby, but because if you were going to, this are the size you'd give them. These fun desserts are great to bring to a party, where someone may not want a full size slice of cheesecake. Little do they know, that they'll be coming back for more than one. One order of these is about 36 bites, and weights approximately 1.5 pounds. Each order is $15, and is a much more interesting and fresh dessert than anything you'll find in the grocery stores. These babies can also be made without green tea, or our full size cheesecake can be made with green tea. Bon appetit!

New York Cheesecake Now Available
Yes, this is REAL New York Cheesecake from a REAL New Yorker. I was born and raised in Long Island; I know what a good bagel, slice of pizza and cheesecake are! Now Las Vegas has the freshest and finest (if I do say so myself) cheesecake this side of the Mississippi. Our cheesecake is made from cream cheese, eggs, sour cream, sugar and vanilla with a crust of crushed graham crackers and butter. This decadent delight is a perfect ending to a meal with friends and family. And, our 9 inch cake is only $26 dollars (think about how a slice at a restaurant costs $9 plus tax and tip and you'll realize this is a steal when it will feed 10-12 happy people) while our 10 inch cake will feed 14-16 with 50% more filling is $32. If you love the red drizzles you see on the plate, we offer freshly prepared seedless raspberry sauce, made from only raspberries, sugar and water for $5 dollars extra. Try not to drool while you look at our pictures ;) Happy eating all!
